Liquid Dye Penetrants

In the non-destructive inspection testing of surface flaws, a colored visible dye solution is applied to the test surface. After removing the dye, a white contrast blotting developer is used, creating a stark contrast against the white background. This process reveals imperfections and flaws as distinct red spots or lines, allowing for precise detection and assessment of surface irregularities.

Identifies surface imperfections down to 1-micron width x 30-micron depth on standard Ni-Cr Test panels. Boasting minimal sulfur and chlorine content, this cost-effective technology doesn't require sophisticated equipment. The aerosol packs offer a convenient, rapid, and efficient application method.
